===== How is RCS Factor calculated? =====

By adding up the individual RCS's for all sorties in the Flight plus the RCS incrementer for all the munitions in their SCLs. For example:

Now let’s review a simple example for a single-ship flight with a single munition. Our fictional platform has the following data:

MinimalAspect RCS = 0.2 m<sup>2</sup>

AllAspect RCS = 20.0 m<sup>2</sup>

SCL’s Incremental RCS Modifier = 0.1

Recall that the AllAspect RCS will be used for all detections and engagements, with one exception: An air defense site (or its installation) being attacked by a Flight will detect the Flight based upon its MinimalAspect RCS.

An air defense site which is not being attacked will use the AllAspect RCS of 20.1 m<sup>2</sup> to determine the RCS Factor:

The air defense site which is being attacked will use the MinAspect RCS of 0.2 m<sup>2</sup> for the platform + 0.1 m<sup>2</sup> for the SCL = 0.3 m<sup>2</sup>:
